The Oakton Boosters have introduced a new way to buy annual Cougar Passes. Now, instead of keychains, we will have digital passes - your phone is your pass. Other local schools are moving this way, and college and professional teams have been doing it for years.
Below is a quick summary of what to do. GoFan has a great support site if you have any questions.
Buying digital Cougar Passes only takes three steps:
Create a GoFan account if you don’t already have one.
Buy your passes.
For family passes, you will be asked for your first and last name, and then the full names of the other three family members.
The process is just as easy.
Open the GoFan app.
Click "Use Pass" under your Cougar Pass.
Show your phone to the ticket taker can click "Use Pass" once more.
You can use your Cougar Pass as many times as you need throughout the season, though not more than once per hour. This ensures people are not accidentally using the same pass for different family members.
You can transfer a Cougar Pass to another family member so they can use it directly on their phone. Just a few steps as well.
Open the GoFan app.
Click on Transfer.
Select the Cougar Pass to transfer.
Enter your family member's email address and hit submit.
Note that this is a one-time transfer. The recipient cannot transfer elsewhere, and you cannot reclaim it after the recipient accepts.
The recipient will need a GoFan account with the email you selected and have the app installed to enter games.
Special note for the recipient of a family pass - you will be asked to enter your first name, last name, then then the names of the three other people on your family pass. The recipient should enter their first and last name and can enter "N/A" for the other three family members.
